Orange Grove Plantation, located 10 miles east of Beaufort overlooking Wallace Creek, dates itself to the early 1800s. It once belonged to the Fripp family and included more than 1,000 acres. The current home was built in 1901 and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
